Not waterproof
I absolutely agree with the previous reviewer that this is not a raincoat!! It repels the first few drops and then they start to seep into the fabric. I haven't worn it in a downpour yet but I'm guessing it won't do much of anything.
Since I bought it specifically for rain, I was disappointed by this coat (and by the fact that I'd already removed the tags and worn it before realizing it wasn't really waterproof). I will say that I like the fit, and the synching elastic gives the waist nice definition. But the lack of waterproofing would have been a dealbreaker if I'd known about it.

Disappointed and most definitely NOT a rain jacket
This garment, while labeled as a rain jacket, falls short of expectations. It should have been described as a windbreaker. Even in that capacity, it performs poorly. The material is concerningly thin, loosely fitting, and prone to wrinkling. It resembles an old paper bag rather than a coat costing well over $100. Given its high cost, the overall quality is deeply disappointing.
